Resetting the IMD
You may need to reset the IMD; for example, you may reset due to commu-
nication cut-off, or if the operating system or the application stops
responding.
If the IMD stops responding, perform the following steps:
Step 1: Warm Reset
Important Note:
When the IMD
performs Warm Reset, all
recorded information remains
stored in memory.
Simultaneously, press keys
ESC
+
A
+
F
(see Figure 7) for
at least 5 seconds - the Motorola
logo will show on the screen for
about 30 seconds and then WinCE
desktop will appear - the IMD
functions again.
If the IMD still does not respond,
perform “Step 2: Cold Reset”:
