Glossary
Channel
A group of characteristics, such as transmit/
receive frequency pairs, radio parameters, and
encryption encoding.
Cursor
A visual tracking marker (a blinking line) that
indicates a location on the display.
Dispatcher
An individual who has radio system
management duties.
Ethernet
A local-area network (LAN) architecture
developed by Xerox Corporation in cooperation
with DEC and Intel in 1976. Ethernet uses a
bus or star topology and supports data transfer
rates

erased by exposing it to an electrical charge.
An EEPROM retains its contents even when
the power is turned off.

radio contains a FLASHport EEPROM memory
chip that can be software written and rewritten
