PPC/PMC-8260/DS1

The PMC specification (P1386.1) specifies a maximum total power con-
sumption of 7.5W per PMC module. The PPC/PMC-8260/DS1 in its stan-
dard configuration may exceed this value. Therefore, it is neccessary to
synchronize the carrier board’s power supply with the PPC/PMC-
8260/DS1 power requirements. Due to the high power dissipation forced
air cooling is necessary (see also forced airflow requirement in Table 3
“Environmental Requirements of the PPC/PMC-8260/DS1” on page 2-5).
The current and power values for one PMC module can be seen in the table below.

FCC Requirements for PPC/PMC-8260/DS1
This equipment complies with Part 68 of the FCC rules. On the equipment is a la-
bel that contains, among other information, the FCC registration for this equip-
ment. If requested, provide information to your telephone company.
If your PPC/PMC-8260/DS1 causes harm to the telephone network, the telephone
company may discontinue your service temporarily. If possible, they will notify
you in advance. But if advance notice is not practical, you will be notified as soon
as possible. You will be advised of your right to file a complaint with the FCC.
Your telephone company may make changes in its facilities, equipment, opera-
tions, or procedures that could affect the proper operation of your equipment. If
they do, you will be given advance notice so as to give you an opportunity to main-
tain uninterrupted service.
If you experience trouble with the PPC/PMC-8260/DS1, contact your local Motor-
ola representative for repair and warranty information. The telephone company
may ask you to disconnect this equipment from the network until the problem has
been corrected or you are sure that the equipment is not malfunctioning.
Never repair the PPC/PMC-8260/DS1 yourself. Otherwise, you may lose the FCC
approval.
