Disassembly
Removing and Replacing the Battery
Battery date codes are explained in the Battery Date Code section on page 17
Before handling the battery, please observe the battery cautions listed below.
1.
Remove the SD Card, and battery cover, as described in the procedures.
2.
Lift the end of the battery near the battery latch (use the disassembly tool if
needed) as shown in Figure 5.
3.
Lift the bottom end of the battery near the SD card slot out of the battery
compartment as shown in Figure 5.
4.
To replace, insert the top end of the battery into the battery compartment with
contacts facing downward as shown in Figure 5B.
5.
Press the top of the battery into the battery compartment.
6.
Replace the battery cover as described in the procedures.

Do not handle batteries with wet or sweaty hands.
Do not short the positive or negative terminals
Non conductive tweezers or grasping tools are to be used for battery connector
manipulation, assembly, and disassembly.

There is a danger of explosion if the Lithium ion battery is replaced incorrectly.
Replace only with the same type of battery or equivalent as recommended by the
battery manufacturer. Dispose of used batteries according to the manufacturer’s
instructions.
