Advanced Configuration
The ADVANCED menu provides the following links:
•
UPnP —
Enables UPnP so traffic for applications using UPnP can pass through the residential gateway
•
— direct incoming traffic to specific computers on your network
•
— block applications and services based on the IP address of a LAN device
•
— determine how computers on your network receive an IP address
•
— specify whether proxies, cookies, Java applets, ActiveX controls, or pop-ups can pass through
your residential gateway
•
— register your residential gateway with a DNS server to access the residential gateway
each time from the WAN using the host name
•
— enable IGMP Multicast
•
— define up to 16 static routes in the residential gateway routing table
•
— define dynamic routes using routing information protocol (RIP)
•
— enable access to the residential gateway remotely over the Web
•
— access the residential gateway remotely via secure shell
•
