VP22 Motherboard Installation
To install a VP22 motherboard in your chassis, follow the procedure
below.
1. Attach an ESD strap to your wrist. Attach the other end of the ESD
strap to an electrical ground (refer to
). The
ESD strap must be secured to your wrist and to ground throughout the
procedure.
2. Ensure that the AC or DC power is switched off and remove the AC
cord or DC power lines from the system.

Inserting or removing modules with power applied may result in
damage to module components.

Warning
Dangerous voltages, capable of causing death, are present in this
equipment. Use extreme caution when handling, testing, and
adjusting.
3. Remove the chassis cover. If necessary, loosen or temporarily remove
chassis components (power supply, fans, etc.) as needed for access to
the interior of the chassis.
4. Install metal standoffs on the floor of the chassis in alignment with the
VP22 motherboard mounting holes. Use as many standoffs as feasible.

Caution
Avoid touching areas of integrated circuitry; static discharge can
damage these circuits.
5. Set the VP22 motherboard on the chassis standoffs and start the
screw(s) provided into the standoffs, without tightening them
completely.
6. With all screws in place, tighten them snugly.
