Thank you for your purchase of a Mountain Lab Gear
Kinetic Headlamp!
The Kinetic Headlamp has two lighting
options-spotlight and floodlight-each with two
intensity settings. It also features a Motion Sensor Mode
that allows the user to turn the light on and off with the
simple wave of a hand.
HOW TO USE THE KINETIC HEADLAMP
Standard Mode

To turn on the headlamp, press lhe power button on top.
To cycle through light settings, press the power button
again wilhin three seconds to select the desired output.
T he lighling settings, in order, are:
1. Spotlight Low
2. Spotlight High
3. Spotlight High + Floodlight High
4. Floodlight High
5. Floodlight Low
6. Off
To turn off the headlamp after use, press the power
button once or cycle through the settings until the light is
turned off.
·Note: While the headlamp is in use in Standard Mode,
the motion sensor button
Is
deactivated.
Motion Sensor Mode

The same lighting settings can be utilized in Motion
Sensor Mode. To begin using Motion Sensor Mode,
the headlamp must first be off (not in use In
Standard Mode).
To turn on Motion Sensor Mode, press the motion
sensor button (adjacent to the power button) In the
same way you would operate the power button in
Standard Mode.
A green light with illuminate inside the body of tha
headlamp to indicate that Motion Sensor Mode is in
operation, and as a reminder that even if the light Is
not on, the headlamp Is not fully powered off.
To turn the light on and off in Motion Sensor Mode,
simply wave your hand within 20 cm (8 in.) of the
front of the headlamp.
To power down the headlamp after use in Motion Sensor
Mode, press the motion sensor button once, or cycle
through the lighting settings until the green light within the
case goes out.
'Note: While the headlamp is in use in Motion Sensor
Mode. the power button is deactivated.
HOW TO CHARGE THE KINETIC HEADLAMP
It is recommended that the headlamp be charged fully prior
to first use.
1. To charge the headlamp, open the case by gently lifting
the clear tab al the back of the headlamp body. Pull the
back of the case away from tha headlamp body to
expose the Micro-USB charging port.
2. Plug the USB end or the charging cable Into a household
USB adapter or USB port. Insert the Micro-USB plug into
the charging port on the headlamp.
3. A red light inside the body of the headlamp will indicate
thal the headlamp battery is charging. When the battery
Is fully charged, the red light will go out.
4. When charging is complete, unplug the charging cord
and close Iha headlamp case.
When not in use. the battery should be charged every six
months to prevent degradation of the battery.
SAFE USE
Health
Do not look directly into the headlamp when illuminated.
Avoid aiming the headlamp light into the eyes of another
person or animal.
For these reasons, use by children is not recommended
except under direct adult supervision.
Electronic Interference
Avalanche transceivers can experience interference from
all electronic devices in close proximity, including
headlamps. Do not use or carry your headlamp In close
proximity to an avalanche transceiver in use. For more
information on avalanche transceiver interference, refer to
the manufacturer of your transceiver.
Battery
WARNING: Risk of explosions or burns
Do not attempt to open or dismantle the battery.
Do not dispose of the headlamp in the garbage or fire.
For use only in temperatures between
-2o·c
(-4"F) and
45•c (113.F).
In the event that moisture enters the headlamp body, open
the case and allow the inside to dry before further use.
