Loosen
the
side
cover
release
knob
and
remove
the
side
cover.
Remove
the
saw
chain.
Remove
the
two
screws
holding
the
sharpening
stone
(Fig.
5
‐
B).
Remove
the
stone.
Make
sure
the
PowerSharp®
lever
and
surrounding
area
are
free
of
debris.
Place
the
new
stone
on
the
lever
and
replace
the
screws.
Then
fit
the
guide
bar
with
new
saw
chain
PowerSharp®
(making
sure
the
cutting
edges
of
the
teeth
along
the
top
of
the
bar
face
away
from
the
powerhead),
install
the
side
cover,
making
sure
the
chain
catcher
is
properly
seated
in
its
hole,
then
tighten
the
saw
chain
and
side
cover
–
see
chapter
Assembling
and
preparing
for
use.

Guide
bar
groove
and
lubrication
holes
must
be
kept
clean
with
a
scraper
(Fig.

C),
which

available

optional
equipment.

burrs
on
guide
bar
(Fig.

remove

flat
file.
Guide
bar
sprocket
should
be
regularly
lubricated
with
grease
using
a
mechanical
press
(fig.

D).
Also,
make
sure
the
guide
bar
sprocket
rotates
freely.
Turn
the
guide
bar
every

operating
hours
(Fig.
5
‐
E)
to
distribute
the
wear
on
both
side
of
bar,
thus
extending
bar
life.

When
the
turning
bar

must
be
replaced
also
the
chain
tensioning
gear
(19).
Loosen
the
screw
(A).
Turn
the
bar,
make
sure
that
the
seal
(B)
remaines
in
its
position
in
the
gear
and
the
fit
the
gear
back
to
the
bar
with
screw.
To
ensure
sufficient
screw
locking
is
recommended
to
use
a
drop
of
glue
on
the
thread
‐
locking
compound
(eg.
Loctice
243
or
equivalent).
Repair

should
become
useless
somewhere
in
the
future
or
you
do
not
need
it
any
longer,
do
not
dispose
of
the
device
together
with
your
domestic
refuse,
but
dispose
of
it
in
an
environmentally
friendly
manner.
Please
dispose
of
the
device
itself
at
an
according
collecting/
recycling
point.
By
doing
so,
plastic
and
metal
parts
can
be
separated
and
recycled.

Storage
If
you
saw
for
a
long
time:
Disconnect
the
tool
from
the
socket.
Completely
empty
the
oil
tank,
then
run
briefly
saw
and
empty
and
the
oil
line.
Perform
the
above
operations
of
cleaning
and
basic
maintenance.
For
short
‐
term
storage
put
the
bar
cover
onto
the
guide
bar.
For
long
‐
term
storage,
we
recommend
the
bar
and
chain
dismantled
and
chain
put
into
a
container
with
mineral
oil
(do
not
use
waste
oil)
‐
before
re
‐
using
the
saw
must
be
re
‐
pour
the
oil
and
mount
the
chain
and
bar.
Electric
chain
saw
store
in
a
dry
place
away
from
heat
sources
and
out
of
reach
of
children.
Avoid
storage
outdoors
or
in
damp
areas.
