Even if the machine is used in accordance with all the

applicable safety instructions, it is still necessary to take

into account some residual hazards that exist due to the

nature of the machine's design. These residual hazards

can be minimised by carefully observing the instructions in

this Owner's Manual, especially the "Safety of work" and

"Machine's Purpose of Use" sections.

Be careful when working with the machine to minimise the

risk of injury or other damage.

•  Risk of finger and hand injury when reaching through the

opening to the rotating knife area.

•  Risk of finger and hand injury when installing and cleaning

the knife.

•  Risk of injury caused by ejected chips of cut material

in the feed spout area.

•  Risk of electric shock if a wrong electrical connection

is used.

•  Risk of contact with live wires when opening the covers

of the machine.

•  Risk of damage to hearing when working without ear

protectors.

In spite of all the measures taken, other hidden residual

hazards may exist.

This machine is intended for cutting:
−  branches of any kind up to max. diameter  see the

Technical Data (depending on the kind and freshness of

the wood);

−  wilted, wet and several days old garden waste alterna

tively with fresh branches.

Cutting glass, metals, plastics, plastic bags, logs, textile

waste, roots with soil and inconsistent waste (e.g., kitchen

refuse) is strictly forbidden.
This garden chipper is intended only for household and

garden use.
Machines intended for household or hobby garden use

are understood as machines which are not used in public

areas, parks, sports grounds, agriculture or forestry.
This chapter also applies to the manufacturer‘s instruc

tions for maintenance, care, repairs and cleaning of the

machine as well as observance of all the safety instruc

tions. Any other use of the machine is outside the range of

its intended use and the user shall bear full responsibility

for all and any hazards resulting from such use.
Wilful modifications or changes to the machine shall relie

ve the manufacturer of its responsibility for any resulting

damage.
The chipper can only be operated by persons who have

been acquainted with these instructions and informed

of any possible hazards. Any repairs of the chipper can

only be performed by the manufacturer or an authorised

service centre.

There is a risk of danger or a dangerous

situation.

Failing to observe these warnings

can result in injury or damage to property.

procedure.

 Failing to observe these

Residual Hazards

Do not discard electrical appliances or batteries

together with common household waste. Dispose

of the machine, accessories and packaging in

an environmentallyfriendly way. In accordance

with Directive 2012/19/EU on used electrical

and electronic devices, used electrical devices must

be collected separately and sent for environmentally

friendly recycling. The electrical appliance's owner is

obliged to provide the necessary cooperation when the

used appliance is recycled, as an alternative to back

acceptance. A used appliance can also be delivered to

a collecting organisation for liquidation in accordance with

the national waste recycling law. This provision does not

apply to used appliance accessories or auxiliary parts if

they do not contain electrical components.
