Before putting this product into operation, 

please read and observe the following 

instructions and safety work regulations 

applicable for your professional association 

and your country to protect yourself and other 

persons from injury.

This appliance must not be used by 

children. Never allow children to play with 

this appliance. Children must not perform 

any cleaning or maintenance of this 

appliance.
This appliance must not be used by people 

with limited physical abilities, sensorial or 

mental capacities or lacking in experience 

and knowledge, or by people not 

acquainted with the operating instructions.
All the safety instructions must be available 

to all persons working with this machine. 
Store these safety instructions in a safe 

place. 

Machine equipped with automatic safety 

shut­off.

The installed safety shut­off with automatic motor 

brake serves to protect you. It prevents the motor 

from being switched on and your hands being 

injured by the rotating knife when the machine is 

opened.
The safety shut-off can only be repaired by the 

manufacturer or an authorised service centre. 

•  Before operating the machine, read this 

Owner's Manual and familiarise yourself 

with the machine.

•  Do not use the machine for purposes 

other than those it is intended for (see 

"Machine's Purpose of Use").

•  Assume the proper working posture and keep 

your balance when working with the machine. 

Do not lean above the chipper when it is 

running. Stay upright when feeding the waste 

into the chipper. Never stay above the machine 

when feeding it with material to be chipped.

•  Be cautious. Be careful about what you are 

doing. Be conscientious when working. Do not 

use this machine when you are tired, under the 

influence of drugs, alcohol or medicaments. 

Momentary carelessness when using the 

machine can result in serious injury.

•  Wear protective goggles, protective gloves and 

ear protectors when working with the machine. 

Always use heavy­duty boots and long trousers 

when operating this machine. Never use this 

machine barefoot or wearing light sandals. 

− Do not wear loose or flowing clothes or 

clothes with loose straps or laces. 

•  Please note that the user is always responsible 

for any accidents or injuries incurred by other 

people and/or any damage to their property.

•  Children and young persons (under 16) are not 

allowed to operate the machine.

•  Keep children out of the machine's work area.

•  Never switch on the machine if other persons 

are within the work area.

•  Never leave the machine unattended.

•  Keep the work area tidy! Mess can result in 

injury.

•  Assume the proper working posture from the 

side or behind the machine.

•  Never reach into the filling and outlet openings.

•  Keep your face and body as far as possible 

from the filling opening.

•  Do not overload the machine! The best working 

performance is safely achieved within the 

specified power output range.

•  Only operate the machine with complete and 

properly installed safety equipment. Never 

modify the machine so that its safety will be 

jeopardized.

•  Never use the machine without the feed spout.

•  It is forbidden to modify the machine or its 

parts.

•  Before switching on the motor, the machine 

must be closed.

•  Do not splash the machine with water (danger 

of electric shock).

•  Beware of the working environment and its 

effect on work with the machine:  

− Never operate the machine in a wet    

  environment. 

− Never leave the machine or work in the rain.  

− Ensure proper lighting of the work area.

•  The machine must only be connected via 

a socket complying with the applicable 

regulations.

•  To avoid finger injuries, wear protective gloves 

when assembling or cleaning the machine.

•  Do not transport the machine when the motor 

is running.

•  Switch off the machine and pull the 

plug out of the socket. Always make 

sure that all the moving parts have 

stopped when:  

− attaching or removing the 

collecting bin;  

− performing maintenance,    

  checking, cleaning or doing any other work  

  on the machine;  

− moving the machine; 

− checking the power supply cables for  

  damage or entangling;
