− transporting the machine;
− repairing the machine;
− leaving the machine unattended (even briefly).
− before removing any obstructions or cleaning
the fouled output opening.
• If the inlet or outlet opening gets fouled, first
disconnect the machine from the power supply
before removing the material.
• Keep the motor clean. Remove any waste or
other deposits to avoid the risk of damage to
the motor or fire.
• Check the machine for any damage:
− Carefully check the machine for failurefree
condition, safety and functionality.
− Check all the moving parts for proper
operation, free motion and damage. Check
them also for correct installation. These parts
must comply with the requirements for flawless
and safe operation of the machine.
− Damaged safety equipment or components
must be repaired or replaced by an authorised
service centre, if not stated otherwise in this
Owner's Manual.
− Never switch on the machine if other persons
are within the work area.
• If the machine is not being used, store it
(including the tools) in a dry and enclosed place
out of reach of children.
• Do not use the machine on paved ground
gritted with gravel where the ejected material
can cause injury.
• Before putting the machine into operation,
check all the screws, nuts and pins for proper
tightness and the machine covers and safety
labels for proper positioning.
• Damaged or illegible safety labels on the
machine must be replaced.
• Make sure the feed spout is empty before
starting the machine.
• Stay out of the material ejection area when
starting the machine.
• Avoid cut material accumulating in the ejection
area. It could prevent proper ejection of the cut
material and cause the material to be thrown
back through the inlet opening.
• Make sure all the covers are in good condition,
properly placed and functional.
• Do not change the settings of the motor
regulator which controls the maximum working
speed and protects the motor and all the
rotating parts from damage due to over
speeding. If any problem occurs, contact an
authorised service centre.
• Make sure the machine is switched off and
the power supply cable is unplugged from the
socket when the machine is stored, maintained
or the accessories are exchanged. Make sure

all moving parts have stopped and the key is
removed, if available. Let the machine cool
down before performing maintenance, settings,
etc.
• When performing maintenance of the cutting
knife, be aware that it can still move due to
the mechanism's design even if the motor is
stopped by the cover interlocking system.
• The user's age can be limited by local
regulations.
• Always use the machine only in the
recommended position and on firm and level
surfaces.
• Always change worn or damaged parts in sets
to avoid unbalance.
• Before use, always check the connections and
extension cable for any damage or wear and
tear. If the cable is damaged during operation,
immediately disconnect it from the power
supply. Do not touch the electricAL wiring until
it has been disconnected from the mains. Do
not use the machine if the cable is damaged or
worn.
• Keep your hands and other parts of your
body or your clothing away from the feed and
discharge chutes or moving parts.
• When feeding the machine with material, be
very careful and avoid inserting any metal items,
stones, bottles or other foreign objects into the
machine.
• Do not tilt the machine when it is under voltage.
• Maintain the machine with care and keep it
clean.
• For safety reasons, change damaged or worn
parts. Use only genuine spare parts and
accessories.
• Never try to override the interlocking function of
the safety device.
• Avoid putting your body into abnormal
positions. Always maintain your balance to
ensure safe footing on slopes. Walk, do not run.
• Warning! Do not touch any dangerous
moving parts before the machine has been
disconnected from the power supply and the
dangerous moving parts have stopped.
• Warning! Do not connect a damaged cable to
the power supply and do not touch a damaged
cable before it has been disconnected from the
mains as damaged cables can cause contact
with live parts.
• Keep the extension cable away from dangerous
moving parts to avoid damaging the cable,
which could cause contact with live parts.
• Recommendations: Do not use the machine
during bad weather, especially when the risk of
lightning exists.
