CI-132 Series User’s Manual
Enter number 2 to choose "2 port card". The screen then shows:
The card is configured as:
1. COM1
2. COM2
3. COM3
4. COM4
Choose either 1 (
COM1 with IRQ 4
) or 2 (
COM2 with IRQ 3
). Then the screen
shows:
Which card do you have?
1. Arnet base address 0xaaa
2. Arnet base address 0xbbb
3. Hostess base address 0xccc
4. ......
Select the compatible such as Arnet or Digi. However, Hostess, AST and CTC are
designed to use the eighth byte of the UART as the interrupt vector and those are not
compatible with MOXA.
For example, if the CI-132 is configured as COM1, one possible configuration would
be:
IRQ = 4 (i.e. COM1)
I/O base address = 0x280 (Arnet compatible)
Vector = 0x2C2 (0x280 + offset 0x42)
If the CI-132 is configured as COM2, one possible configuration would be:
IRQ = 3 (i.e. COM2)
I/O base address = 0x300 (Arnet compatible)
Vector = 0x342 (0x300 + offset 0x42)
Once the installation is successfully completed, the following serial devices along
with their modem devices (upper-case) will be added to the system.
tty1a
tty1b
(first CI-132)
tty2a
tty2b
(second CI-132)
Be sure to activate the device by using SCO command:
# enable ttyxx
