SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

Read the user guide carefully before use.

The iron should be connected to the earthed mains supply.

Be particularly careful using the appliance near children!
�
Do not immerse the appliance, supply cord and plug in water or other liquids!
�
Do not leave the iron unattended, when it is connected to the mains supply.
�
Do not let the supply cord hang over sharp edges. Do not let it come into contact with hot
surfaces.
�
Check the supply cord regularly for any potential damages.
�
Do not use the damaged appliance, also when the supply cord or the plug is out of order.
Repair the appliance at an authorised service centre.
�
Always remove the plug from the socket when you do not use the appliance or before cleaning.
�
Disconnect the appliance from the mains supply when filling or emptying the water tank.
�
Never touch the soleplate, when the appliance is on!
�
The tank is to be filled with water only. Distilled water is recommended to avoid the formation
of lime scale inside the iron.
�
Never add any chemical agents to the water that is to be poured into the tank as they might
damage the appliance.
�
Do not touch hot, metal elements, hot water or steam to avoid scalding.
�
Do not use the appliance for any other purposes than its intended use.
�
The appliance is designated for domestic use only.
�
Never use the appliance outdoors.
�
Do not open the tank cover when ironing.
�
The iron must be used and positioned onto a stable surface.
�
You should not use your iron when it has been dropped or it has visible damages or when
the water is leaking.
�
This appliance is not intended for use by individuals (including children) with limited physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or individuals who have no experience or knowledge of how
to handle it, unless they are supervised or have been instructed how to use the appliance
by the individuals who are responsible for their safety.
�
Do not let children play with the appliance.
