TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
If you experience a problem with this unit, check the chart below before calling for service.
SYMPTOM
Unit will not turn on.
No sound.
Download Failure.
The computer is not
recognizing the MP-F56.
CAUSE
Dead battery, or not
installed properly.
LOCK switch is in the
Lock (down) position.
Headphones are not
inserted.
Volume is set too low.
The MP3 or WMA files
are corrupted.
Damaged USB cable.
The MP
-F56 is
turned off.
The USB cable is not
securely connected.
Driver is not installed or
computer is not
compatible.
SOLUTION
Replace battery and
install properly.
Slide switch to the Unlock
(up) position.
Insert headphones.
Raise the Volume using
the button.
Download uncorrupted
files.
Replace cable.
Turn the MP-F56 on.
Make sure USB cable is
securely connected.
Install driver and/or see
page 7 through 14
for compatibility.
