Day-to-day addition of coolant is done via the radiator.
When adding coolant to the radiator,
DO NOT remove the
radiator pressure cap until the unit has completely cooled.
Reference Table 9 for coolant capacity.
OPERATION IN FREEZING WEATHER
When operating in freezing weather, be certain the proper
amount of antifreeze has been added.
COOLANT FILTER REPLACEMENT
1. Remove the pressure cap from the radiator.
2. Turn the shutoff valve on the coolant filter to the
OFF
position by rotating the knob from the vertical to
horizontal
as shown in Figure 59.

3. Coat the rubber seal (gasket) surface of each coolant
filter (Figure 60) with clean 15W-40 engine oil.

4. Install new coolant filter (Figure 60) first by hand until
it makes contacts with the filter head surface. Tighten
it another 3/4 turn using the filter wrench.

5. Place the shutoff valve on the coolant filter to the
ON
position by rotating the knob from horizontal to
vertical
.
