not have an ignition switch or a
throttle handle. It does have an
“
engine speed switch
” that is
used in conjunction with the
MPEC unit.

2. Set the
battery ON/OFF switch
(Figure 58) to the “
ON
”
position.

3. Press and hold the engine preheat button (Figure 59)
until the preheat lamp is lit (
ON
).

5. Place the Auto-Off/Reset-Manual switch in the “
Manual”
position to start the engine (Figure 61). Once the engine
starts, let the engine run for 1-2 minutes. Listen for any
abnormal noises.

6. Once the engine is warm and the engine is running properly,
place the engine speed switch in the “
HIGH
” position
(Figure 62).

7.
Verify that the "
Engine Running
" status LED on the MPEC
unit (Figure 63) is "
ON
" (lit) after the engine has been started.
