there will be no obstacles placed below the
hazard throughout the duration of the works.
• Ensure eyebolt does not seize up.

7 Installation and use (Figure 4)
To connect the PushLock eyebolt to a
socket:
• Depress safety catch,

trigger,

. The safety catch may now be
released. (

• Locate eyebolt shaft into the centre of
socket.
• Release the trigger.
• Push eyebolt with the palm of the hand
until the locking mechanism clicks.

• Check installation by tugging the eyebolt.

8 Inspection, Maintenance
and Storage
• The PushLock eyebolt may be cleaned
using lukewarm water and mild detergent.
Wire brushes and Cleaning agents
containing chlorine shall not be used.
After cleaning the eyebolt shall be allowed
to dry naturally.
• All equipment shall be kept away from
contaminants such as acids, alkali, oils
and grease.
• The eyebolt shall be stored and
transported in its original packaging or in
protective packaging away from excessive
heat, high humidity, sharp edges,
corrosives or other foreseeable causes
of damage. The eyebolt shall not be
subjected to unnecessary stress, pressure
or rough handling.
• The PushLock eyebolt shall be inspected
at least annually by an authorised person.
•Theanchordeviceshallnotbemodified
in any way without written consent from
MSA.
9 Service life
• PushLock eyebolt has an expected
service life of up to 20 years in inland
environments and up to 15 years in
marine environments; this may be
reduced by frequency of use and quality of
maintenance. Continued use is dependent
upon passing pre-use checks and periodic
examinations.
10 Disposal
All stainless-steel components are
recyclable.
