Foot Extension will not extend and beeps. The footrest is at the safe zone boundary.
The footrest is too close to the floor or is
too close to vertical.
Change the angle of the footrest.

The stretcher bed consistently beeps
when retracting the foot section.
The footrest is at the safe zone boundary.
The footrest is avoiding colliding with the
seat cushion.
This is normal operation.

The stretcher bed beeps when pressing
Lift Down or Tilt Down and stops moving.
The footrest is too close to the floor.
Press the foot retract or foot up button to
move it away from the floor.

The stretcher bed beeps when pressing
Back Down or Tilt Up and stops moving.
The backrest has reached its safe
zone boundary. It is avoiding potential
collisions.
Press the lift up button to raise the top of the
stretcher bed above the safe zone boundary
or alter the position of the back or tilt.

The stretcher bed will not function. The
green light and orange light are lit on the
hand control or stretcher bed PCA.
The Safety Lockout Feature is enabled.
To exit Safety Lockout press
Stop, Stop,
Back Down, Stop.

The stretcher bed does not move when a
Program Button is pressed.
The Program Button Setting is set to the
Maintain Button Setting.
See “Smart Controller™ Technology” on
page 13 for instructions to change the
Program Button Setting.
The Program Button does not have a
saved location.
See “Controls” on page 15 for instructions
on saving a Program Button location.

Home Button does not move the
stretcher bed to the expected location.
The saved location for the Home
Button has been set by another user/
inadvertently.
Move the stretcher bed to the desired
location. See “Controls” on page 15
for instructions on saving a Home Button
location. For further instructions about
the operation of the button, see “Smart
Controller™ Technology” on page 13
.

The stretcher bed consistently beeps
while moving to a programmed position.
An actuator has gone bad
Contact Customer Service.

Stretcher bed will not function or a
function is erratic.
Stretcher bed PCA isn’t functioning
correctly.
Contact Customer Service.

Stretcher bed PCA relays turn on/off
quickly and excessively (“chatters”).
Stretcher bed PCA or hand/foot control
may be functioning incorrectly.
Contact Customer Service.

Lift function is slower than usual and only
goes up about halfway. Stretcher bed
beeps while moving.
One of the lifting column motors is not
functioning or stretcher bed PCA isn’t
functioning correctly.
Contact Customer Service.

Motor is running after stretcher bed
stops.
A motor gear has stripped.
Contact Customer Service for motor
replacement.

The stretcher bed will roll but not steer.
Both locking bars are in STEER position on a
stretcher bed with Selective Steer Option.
Change one of the locking bars to the FREE
position. See page 18 for instructions.
