Before starting the vehicle, check all fluid levels. Ensure chains have proper tension, and the lower body is free of water and debris. Check that
the drain plugs, engine cover, and all floor boards are in place. Check all tires for proper inflation (5 psi without tracks, 12 psi with tracks). All
tires must be inflated to the same pressure.
Safety Equipment
All occupants must wear a DOT-certified helmet. There are seat belts for the front two passengers. Use the seat belts at all times on land and
ensure the ROPS system is up. Any time the vehicle is in water, you must remove your seat belt and helmet, and wear a life preserver.
General Safety
Do not operate on public roads. Do not operate in waters with current or open water such as large lakes and oceans. Do not refuel the machine
with the engine running. Do not operate the Mudd-Ox on angles greater than 25 degrees. Do not drive faster than conditions or your ability
allows. Do not attempt to make sudden sharp turns or go from forward to reverse abruptly; doing so could upset the machine or at the least
jostle the occupants, possibly causing injury.
Keep the inside lower body clean of debris and water. Grease the axle bearings every 25 or after going into water and mud, whichever comes
first. Check engine oil level, and hydraulic fluid daily before use. Please review the engine owner’s manual for operation and maintenance on
the engine.
