Track Installation
1. If installing Ripsaw or Chevron style tracks, you must ensure the Vendetta tires are facing
“backwards.”
Figure-1 shows the direction each tire
should face when operating with these two style tracks.
2. Set (2) long, heavy duty ratchet straps down in front of the Mudd-Ox. Spread them across the ground parallel to the vehicle. These will later
be used to pull the ends of the tracks together.
3. Place the tracks directly over each ratchet strap, completely flat with the tread pattern facing down. For Chevron tracks, set the “V” pattern
crest pointing towards the back of the machine (Figure-2). This is opposite of the tire direction.
4. Drive the Mudd-Ox onto the tracks.
5. Roll the overhanging track over the tires so the open ends are on the top side, between the middle two wheels. The ends of the ratchet straps
should be connected.
6. Deflate the outer four tires.
7. Next pull the ends of the tracks together, making the ends meet. Tighten the straps to pull the ends together.
8. Run the track cable (Figure-3, A) into the metal lacing, through both ends of the track. During this process, ensure the lacing lines up and the
cable goes through smoothly. This works best by driving the cable with a drill spinning counter-clockwise.
9. Slide locking collars over both sides of the lacing (Figure-3, B). Tighten setscrews. Remove ratchet straps.
10. Inflate all tires to 12 psi.
