It is possible to check that the EDR is sending the correct WITS Records that MControl
needs to operate correctly, namely the following two WITS Records (as of MControl
v.2.6.5050):
Description
WITS Record #
Depth Bit (measured)
0108
Depth Hole (measured)
0110
a.
NOTE: Previous versions of MControl, prior to v2.6.5050, also required WITS
Records 0123 (Pump Stroke Rate #1) and 0124 (Pump Stroke Rate #2).
b.
In MControl v. 2.6.5 or later, first select SETUP and then set the WITS Interface
to TOTCO/EPOCH STREAMING or PASON WORKSTATION/ITERROGATIVE,
then select APPLY and OK.
c.
In the tool bar in MControl select
TOOLS
and then select
WITSWIZ
from the
pull down menu. Within a few moments a new black screen will appear and
will ask if the sever should cache this connection, select “yes”.
d.
The black window will then display the various WITS records that MLogger is
receiving from the EDR.
e.
The TAG column in this screen corresponds to the WITS Record number. If
there are no numbers or WITS records displayed in WITSWIZ, then please
contact the EDR Company representative to notify them of the WITS record(s)
that need to be added to the EDR output.
5.
If all the above doesn’t resolve the WITS Error message, then reboot the EDR
workstation.
MLogger Won’t Boot Up After Turning on the Power
1.
After turning on the MLogger, check for the flashing green Hard Drive light just below the
“I’m Alive” light at the
front of MLogger
.
a.
If this light is flashing rapidly wait for fifteen minutes. The Hard Drive may be
performing a scan disk.
b.
After fifteen minutes has passed and the “I’m Alive” light has not begun to flash,
and the hard drive light is no longer blinking:
