Product Overview
The Muirhead
®
Idle Timer Controller, part number 11450, is designed to ensure a machine is ‘idled down’ for
the correct period of time as recommended by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). This idle down
period allows the machine to cool slowly and prevent engine damage from heat stress.
A prime example of
this is the engine’s turbochargers that require oil for bearing lubrication—the high temperatures of the
turbochargers must be dissipated before the engine is switched off.
