Troubleshooting
:
This troubleshooting guide has been designed to help you quickly locate and resolve common powering problems.
The table assumes normal operation and configuration of the UPS at any given time. If you still cannot solve the
problem, replace the power supply with a known good unit.
Operating Conditions
UPS LED/LCD Status
Corrective Action
No output voltage to load
Output Status LED is blinking and 0V and 0A
are displayed on the LCD.
•
Verify output wiring from the load to the
cabinet and the 4 wire circular Power
connector of the UPS.
•
Verify that the UPS is not overloaded.
•
Verify Line Voltage is within range.
•
Verify Battery Connector is connected and
Battery Voltage is within range.
•
Verify that UF fault is not present. If so,
remove UPS for repair.
UPS will not transfer to Inverter Mode
UPS shuts down upon loss of Line power.
LEDs and LCD may or may not still be
powered. Inverter Status LED OFF.
•
Verify Battery Connector is connected and
Battery Voltage is within range.
•
Verify that UPS is not overloaded.
•
Verify that UF fault is not present. If so,
remove UPS for repair.
Battery string will not charge
LCD displays low battery voltage
•
Verify that the Battery Connector is
connected to the UPS front panel.
•
Verify charger current is present using DC
current meter.
•
Check if battery casings are damaged or
swollen.
•
Verify that UF fault is not present. If so,
remove UPS for repair.
Excessive fan speed
LCD/LEDs may be inoperable
•
Verify the correct battery harness
connector is attached to the UPS. Refer to
figures in Section 4.
•
Reduce load if UPS appears to be
overloaded.
