1. Set the function switch to the
Ω
position.
2. Insert the black test lead banana plug into the
negative
COM
terminal.
3. Insert the red test lead banana plug into the
positive
+
terminal.
4. Press the
MODE
key to indicate "
Ω
"
.
5. Apply the test probes to the points of the circuit to
be tested. It is best to disconnect one side of the
part to be tested so the rest of the circuit will not
interfere with the measurement. The value
measured is displayed.
3.8 Continuity test
To avoid electric shock, never measure continuity on
circuits or wires that have voltage on them.
1. Set the switch to the
Ω
position.
2. Insert the black lead banana plug into the
negative
COM
terminal.
Insert the red test lead banana plug into the
positive
+
terminal.
3. Press the
MODE
key to display
a nd
"
Ω

on
screen.
4. Apply test probes to the points of the circuit
to be tested.
5. All resistance higher than 100
Ω will stop the
instrument’s sound alert. If the circuit is open,
“OL” is displayed on screen.
The temperature probe is fitted with a type K mini connector.
A mini connector to banana connector adaptor is supplied for
connection to the input banana terminals.
3.9 Diode test
To avoid any risk of deterioration, remove power from
the circuit to be tested before making any diode
measurements.
1. Set the function switch to the
Ω
position.
2. Insert the black test lead banana plug into the
negative
COM
terminal and the red test lead
banana plug into the positive
+
terminal.
3. Press the
MODE
key to display and
