Appendix 2: Firmware maintenance
17.1
Firmware upgrade in standalone mode
New firmware can be fetched from the MultiQ website,
http://multiq.com/uk/support/downloads.php
. Download the latest “bin” file to your computer.
Then login to the media player and go to the “Unit” tab and select the “Upgrade” menu.
Browse to the firmware “bin” file, open the file and click the “Upload and start upgrade process””
button.

In the next section you will learn to create and use a rescue USB stick that can be used to restore
your media player if you are unable to login to the unit. This may be the case if you have lost the
password to the unit.
