To create a USB rescue stick
Rescue/factory default procedure
The rescue/factory default procedure described below is only intended for units that are in stand-
alone mode (i.e. not connected to a central system) and on occasions when the device can’t be
upgraded or reset using the web user interface (see section at the end of the document).
The USB storage device must be at least 1GB. We have noted that some older USB storage
devices do not boot correctly so we recommend using Verbatim Store N Go memory.
Instructions:
Start by downloading the latest “rescue MP4-7 “version”.exe” file from the MultiQ website
http://multiq.com/uk/support/downloads.php
Remove all USB storage devices from your PC.
Insert a USB stick to your computer. Important – Please note that all data on the memory stick will
be erased.
Double click on the downloaded exe file. This will start self extraction and after a while the installer
program will start.
