FUEL CHECK
Remove fuel cap from fuel tank (Figure 8) and visually inspect
fuel level. Determine if the engine fuel is low. If fuel level is low,
fill with unleaded gasoline.

Handle fuel safely. Motor fuels are highly
flammable and can be dangerous if
mishandled.

refueling.

attempt to refuel
the ride-on trowel if the engine is hot or
running.

attempt to start the engine until the
fuel residue has been completely wiped up and the
area surrounding the engine is dry.

V-BELT
Visually examine the V-belts (Figure 9) and determine if
they have any tiny cracks, frayed, has pieces of rubber
missing, is peeling or otherwise damaged.
Also, examine the belts and determine if they are
oil
soaked
or "
glazed
" (hard shiny appearance on the sides
of the belt). Either of these two conditions can cause the
belts to run hot, which can weaken them and increase the
danger of it breaking.
If the V-belts exhibits any of the above wear conditions
replace them immediately
