LS600 PUMP — INSPECTION
BEFORE STARTING
1. Read safety instructions at the
beginning of manual.
2. Clean the
entire pump
, removing dirt and dust, par-
ticularly the engine cooling air inlet, and heat exchanger.

air filter
for dirt and dust. If air filter is dirty,
replace air filter with a new one as required.

FUEL CHECK
1.
Check the fuel gauge built into the fuel tank cap
(Figure 8) to determine if the pump's engine fuel is
low. Refuel as needed.
See Figures 5, 6, and 7 for the location of
any control or component referenced in this
section.
Handle fuel safely. Diesel fuel is highly
flammable
and
can be dangerous if mishandled.
DO NOT
smoke
while
refueling.
DO NOT
attempt to refuel pump if the engine
is hot or running.

WARNING - EXPLOSIVE FUEL
Diesel fuel
is extremely flammable,
and its vapors can cause an explosion
if ignited.
DO
NOT
start the engine
near spilled fuel or combustible fluids.
DO NOT
fill the fuel tank while the
engine is running or hot.
