Non-Transparent mode: Consider the following before using the Proxy non-transparent mode:

You must assign the networks that are to be allowed to use the proxy.

No unassigned networks can use the HTTP proxy if the proxy is configured in the browser.
·
You set up the RouteFinder internal IP and port 8080.
·
Authentication is only possible in Proxy non-transparent mode.
Note: with Cookie filter enabled, you can still save cookies by using JavaScript by configuring your
browser settings as follows:

Netscape: EDIT | PREFERENCES | ADVANCED
·
MSIE: EXTRAS | SECURITY | ADJUST SETTINGS | COOKIES / SCRIPTING
At Proxies|HTTP you can enable and disable User authentication.
From Proxies|HTTP you can choose between local, sam, and radius permission types, as well as Add
or Delete them.
With HTTP Proxy Transparent mode disabled and User authentication enabled, the Authentication
drop-down list displays.
Here you can select local, sam, or radius authentication types. When you select an
Authentication type and click Add, the Allowed Users and Available Users information is displayed.
