1. Adjust the coulter pressure by changing the pressure in the coulter pressure cylinders (1).
There are 20 coulter pressure cylinders on the FX300 and 26 on the FX400.
The cylinder presses the frame of the coulter disc down. The system is equipped
with pressure accumulators, which allow the coulters to follow contours in the
terrain by changing the length of the cylinder stroke.
The coulter pressure adjustment range is 50-250 kg. Use less pressure on light soil
and more pressure on hard soil. The pressure should rst be set too high and then
lowered, if needed, rather than adjusting the pressure too low in the rst
place. The coulter pressure can be adjusted during operation. For example, it can
be decreased at the end of the eld with deep soil and increased at the end with
clay soil, to maintain the desired seeding depth.
The coulter pressure status is displayed on the user interface (see section 4.2.4.1.
