ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Install the three legs to the gas burner using six screws.
2. Fix the gas valve to the gas burner.
3. The gas burner is ready to be hooked up to the liquefied petroleum gas cylinder. See the assembly pictures below:
ASSEMBLY STEPS:
Step 1: Match the leg to the hole on the side of the gas
burner.
Step 2: Fix it with a screw.
Step 3: Adjust the metal cover to its place. Then fix it with a
screw.
Step 4: Fix the valve to the gas burner.
HOSE AND REGULATOR
These items are not included with the barbecue. Only
use hose and regulators approved for LP gas at the above
pressures. The estimated life expectancy of the regulator is
10 years. Change the regulator within 10 years of the date of
manufacture.
The use of the wrong hose or regulator is unsafe; always
check that you have the correct items before operating the
barbecue.
The hose used must conform to the relevant standard for
the country of use. The length of the hose must be 1.2 metres (maximum) and the inner diameter 10 mm. A worn or damaged hose must be
replaced. Ensure that the hose is not bent, clogged, or in contact with any part of the barbecue other than at its connection.
CHECKING FOR LEAKS
Make 2-3 fluid ounces (6-9 dl) of leak detecting solution by mixing one part dishwashing liquid with 3 parts water.
Ensure that the control valve is “OFF”.
Connect the regulator to the LP gas cylinder and ON/OFF valve to the burner. Ensure that the connections are secure and then turn the gas
ON.
Brush the soapy solution onto the hose and all joints. If bubbles appear you have a leak, which must be rectified before use.
Retest after fixing the fault.
Turn the gas OFF at the LP gas cylinder after testing.
If leakage is detected and cannot be rectified, consult your gas dealer in order to fix the leak.
CAUTIONS WHEN OPERATING
1. This gas burner is designed to be used and operated with liquefied petroleum gas, usually found in a gas cylinder. The gas cylinder must
be kept 1.2 m away from the gas burner. The gas hose length should be up to 1.2 m long.
Change the hose in compliance with national regulations.
2. This gas burner will not operate with the gas pressure coming from a liquefied petroleum gas cylinder. A low pressure regulator is needed
to properly operate the gas burner.
3. Before each use, always check all gas connections and joints to make sure there is no leak. Check the hoses for cracks and wear and
replace the hose if it is damaged.
4. The lit gas burner should operate with a blue flame with a small yellow tip. Adjust the air screw if the flame is sputtering or popping. If the
flame is not operating normally, check to see if anything is obstructing the gas flow. Do not operate the gas burner if you feel that it is not
operating normally.
5. For the pressure regulating valve, use a 30 mbar pressure regulating valve. The valve must meet standard EN 16129.
6. If the gas hose becomes obstructed, a professinal must repair it.
7. When connecting the hose, make sure it does not become twisted.
8. Turn off the gas supply in the event of a gas leak.
9. Wear gloves when operating the gas burner.
10. Do not open the part which has been sealed by the factory.
11. Keep the gas burner 0.5 m away from walls.
12. The hose should meet the appropriate standards and be supplied by a professional supplier.
CLEANING AND MAINTAINING
1. Before cleaning the gas burner, make sure that it has cooled down.
2. Use a clean cloth to clean dirty spots. Do not use any detergent.
3. Use a special needle to clean the holes.
4. Keep the gas burner on a flat surface. Do not use the burner on a sloping surface or terrain.
5. Store the gas burner in a dry place after use.
