IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USE.
- This smoke infuser is only intended for flavouring food with
smoke.
- The surfaces of the device’s metal burning chamber become
very hot during use. Do not touch the hot surfaces, and allow
the device to cool completely before touching the burning
chamber or cleaning and storing the device.
- Do not allow children to use the smoke infuser. Adult super-
vision is necessary when the smoke infuser is being used.
- Do not leave the smoke infuser unattended.
- The use of accessories not recommended in this manual is
forbidden.
- Only use fine-grained cold smoking chips.
- Do not generate smoke for longer than 30 seconds; longer
use may damage the device.
- Only use the device in a well-ventilated area. Avoid using
the smoke infuser in areas where the smoke may activate
smoke alarms or fire suppression systems.
- Always use the smoke infuser in a horizontal position so
that the opening of the burning chamber is facing upwards.
Do not let the device fall over, because heated smoking
materials may fall out of the burning chamber, resulting in a
fire hazard.
- Always empty the cooled ash and burnt materials into a
non-flammable container.
- Make sure the smoking materials ignite properly; improper
ignition of the materials may result in an explosion or fire
hazard.
- Do not remove or disassemble any parts of the smoke
infuser other than the metal burning chamber, stainless steel
mesh filter, battery compartment cover and batteries.
- Never operate the smoke infuser without the stainless steel
mesh filter in place; burning/glowing embers may otherwise
enter the device’s plastic casing, damaging the device, or be
ejected through the hose, causing a fire hazard or burns.
OPERATION
1. Insert four 1.5 V AA batteries into the smoke infuser.
2. Place the smoke infuser in a horizontal position so that the
opening of the burning chamber is facing upwards. Place the
chosen smoking material in the burning chamber and light
the material using a match or lighter. DO NOT USE a gas torch
or other similar lighter, as the excessive heat may damage
the device.
3. After lighting the material in the burning chamber, turn the
smoke infuser on.
Never turn the device on without having the metal smoking
chamber in place.
Direct the smoke into the food you want to give the smoke
flavour to. When using the smoke infuser to smoke food in a
covered container, simply inject the smoke under the lid and
let it infuse for a few minutes. Two to three minutes of smoke
is generally all that is needed to infuse foods with a smoky
flavour and aroma. The smoke infuser is only needed for a
short period of time in the smoking process.
Do not generate smoke for longer than 30 seconds.
4. When you have finished smoking, allow the smoke infuser
to cool before removing any parts. Take the batteries out
before cleaning the device.
