Electrical Terminations
The myPV ClearSky™ Interconnection is designed to electrically terminate in the same
manner as a pad-mounted transformer. Here’s what you can expect.
Overview
The myPV ClearSky is designed to be very easy to install, requiring only medium
voltage (MV) and ground-ring terminations that are similar to that of a pad-mount
transformer.
Details for your MV Contractor:
There are a total of six (6) MV separable connector terminations required; three (3)
for the Utility side, and three (3) for the Solar side.
The MV separable connectors will be either 200A load-break or 600A dead-break
IEEE 386 compatible interfaces.
Whether 200A or 600A, all bushing wells and inserts will be shipped with the device
… your MV contractor only needs to purchase and install the “elbows”.
Parking stands are installed for all six (6) connections, however parking bushings
are not included (as these are not required for normal commercial operation).
Both MV termination cabinets (Utility and Solar) each have a solid copper 3/8”
diameter rod installed across the bottom opening of the cabinet entry. The ground
ring will need to be attached to the grounding rod per applicable standards where
the myPV ClearSky is being installed.
