The cross-sectional area listed in Table3-1, Table3-2 and Table3-3 is recommended cables cross-
section area for 5 m long lines. Longer lines require larger cross-sectional areas.
3.6 Surge Protection
If the UPS is installed in a lightning-prone area, install multiple surge protection devices between the
power grid and the UPS. The UPS installed outdoors requires a higher surge protection level than those
installed indoors.
