4.5.5
Redundancy Function of the Parallel System
When adopting the design of 2+1 parallel redundant backup, the total output load cannot be greater
than 2 times the rated output of a single-unit. When one single-unit is in fault, the single-unit can enter,
exit freely and does not influence the operating of parallel system, which can enhance the reliability of
the system. When the load exceeds the above capacity, the overload single-unit (more than N/(N+1)
times rated output of single-unit), it will send alarm. For example, for the system with double UPS to
backup, if the load of single-unit exceeds 50% rated power, it will send overload alarm.
4.6 Operation of Touch Screen
The touch screen provides a graphical user interface for the UPS. By touch screen, indicator light and
user-friendly operation system, users can easily browse the input, output, load, and battery parameters
of the UPS to get the current status and warning information of UPS in time and to see functions and
control UPS. Touch screen can also provide historical alarm log for users, and provide a reliable basis
for fault diagnosis.
