The 3-Point Lock

The Hurricane Door Slide door is installed with a 3-Point Lock that operates with a Thumb Turn, or Lever Turn. The 3-Point Lock is 

used to simultaneously lock the Slide door with (1) Hook Bolt and (2) Lock Rods. Please see Figure 1.

When the 3-Point Lock is turned to lock the Slide door; the Hook Bolt simultaneously inserts into the Strike Stile while the Upper Lock 

Rod inserts into the Header and the Lower Lock Rod inserts into the Track/Floor. Please see Figure 2.

Troubleshoot the 3-Point Lock

2.1 

The Lower Lock Rod can not be inserted into the Drilled Hole

1. 

Open the Slide door to inspect the Drilled hole. Please see Figure 2.

2. 

Remove any dirt or debris that is lodged inside the hole.

a. 

It is important to keep the Drilled Hole free from dirt and/or debris at all times. 

b. 

It may be necessary to redrill the hole if dirt or debris becomes too tightly packed and cannot be removed otherwise.

2.2 

The Lower Lock Rod hits the Track/Floor

1. 

Jiggle the Slide door to carefully center the Lower Lock Rod to the Drilled Hole.

a. 

Please call your Corporate Headquarters according to procedure, to start a Service Work Order if the Lower Lock Rod still 

can not be inserted into the Drilled Hole.
