Sensor Adjustment
It is essential that the sensors that detect the movement of the sword are
operating correctly before this game is played. Ensure that the following
instructions are completed before playing the game.
5-5-1
Sensor Operation
•
This game is fitted with two pairs of sensors (4 sensors: total).
•
Each sensor unit consists of an infrared light emitting section and a light
receiving section.
The infrared light from the emitting section is reflected by the reflective
material inside the Frame Assy. and returns to the light receiving section.
When the sword is placed within the sensor area, the sword blocks the
reflection of the infrared light and the resulting shadow is used to detect the
position of the sword.
•
If the infrared light does not return to the receiving section without the sword
being in the sensor area, the sword position cannot be detected correctly.
Be sure to adjust the sensors by following the procedures described on the
following pages.
