Troubleshooting
I. If the jack cannot lift the load
1) Check the oil level in the hydraulic ram.
2) To remove air from the hydraulic system, open the release valve and fully pump
the handle six times both up and down. Close the release valve and check that the
jack is working as it should.
3) If any oil comes out of the ram when a load is lifted, the lining of the ram is worn.
A specialist should insert a new lining into the ram.
II. If the jack cannot be lowered
1) The ventilation hole in the oil canister is blocked. Open the cap on the ventilation
hole and clean it or empty some of the oil from the oil reservoir.
