Caution
!
!
position wiring back into door switch junction box, replace and secure junction box cover.
the thermostat and control wiring should be a minimum of 18 aWg copper. excessive lengths of wire may
result in enough voltage drop to impair the proper functioning of the furnace. for thermostat wires in excess of
25 feet, use 16 aWg; 50 feet, use 14 aWg.
remove the desired panel knockout for the 24v thermostat control wires and install the supplied plastic split
bushing or a suitable strain relief bushing in the hole. route 24v thermostat control wires through the bushing
in the panel and to the terminal block located at the front right corner of the base panel.
Connect the wood furnace thermostat control wires to terminals #1 and #2 on the 24vaC terminal block (see
diagram).
replace the front lower cover of the furnace.
the thermostat should be located approximately 5 feet above the floor, on an inside wall where there is good natu-
ral air circulation, and where the thermostat will be exposed to average room temperatures. avoid locations where
the thermostat will be exposed to cold drafts, heat from nearby lamps or appliances, exposure to sunlight, heat from
inside wall stacks, etc.
