2.2 Connecting the power cable
- Install the power unit as shown in Figures 1 and 2.
- Connect the connection cable. Do not connect the stove power supply before installing the
sensor and control unit.
2.3 Installing the temperature sensor
- Install the sensor to the ceiling above the stove
(see Figure 1).
- The sensor should be located precisely above the centre of the stove’s stone
compartment.
- The supply air valve may not be located closer than 1,000mm to the temperature sensor. If the
supply air valve is located at a distance of 500-1,000mm from the sensor, a directional supply air
valve must be used to direct the airflow away from the sensor. The airflow from a supply air valve
located close to the sensor may distort the reading of the sensor and the stove may overheat.
- Install the sensor to the ceiling using the screws provided (2 pcs, Ø 2.9x16)
- The temperature sensor wiring can be recessed.
- Connect the sensor cable connector to the power unit.
- Connect the connectorless cable end to the temperature sensor; the cable can be cut to length.
2.4 Installing the control unit
- The control unit can be installed to the sauna or outside the sauna. Due to the possible moisture,
only recessed installation is allowed in a damp room, sauna or wash room.
- Recessed installation may weaken the control unit’s WLAN signal, in which case better WLAN
network power/range is required.
- In sauna rooms where aluminium foil or the like has been installed behind the cladding panels, it
must be considered that the signal can only be transmitted through the door! The strength of the
WLAN network should be established in advance.
- When installed in a damp room, the response of control unit keys may be poorer due to the
moisture as compared to dry room installation.
- Control unit installation height in sauna: max. 90cm and min. 100cm to the side of the stove
(see Figure 1).
- Length of control unit cable: 10m. Do not cut or extend the cable. Excess cable may not be
tucked into the junction box of the stove. When recessing the cable, a Ø20 protection pipe must
be used.
- Open the cover (see Figure 3). Loosen the locking screw on the back of the housing. The cover
opens at the bottom.
- Surface installation (see Figure 4).
- Recessed installation (see Figures 5a, b and c).
- Install the bracket behind the casing using the screw and nut (Figure 5a).
- The control unit is installed in an opening as shown in Figure 5b, top edge first (Figure 5c).
