Battery/Charger Information
MACHINE CHARGING
Machine has an on board charger (Figure B).
1. To eliminate accidental machine start-up while charging depress E-Stop Button
(Figure C) before connecting to power source.
2. Connect to power source using a 3 meter (10 foot) extension cord. NOTE: Not us-
ing the proper gauge & length extension cord could cause improper charging and/
or charger damage.
Note:
A steady green light indicates the machine is charging in standard charge cycle.
Green light will blink when charging is complete and in maintenance mode.
3. Complete charging sequence.
4. Disconnect cord from the power source. Make sure the cord/plug is completely
secured to the machine. Cord can fall under machine which causing damage to
cord and/or plug.
5. Release
E-Stop.
BUILT IN LOW VOLTAGE INTERRUPT
One of the most common causes of premature battery failure is over discharging.
Low Voltage Interrupter and alarm continuously monitors for low voltage and alarms
when voltage falls.
At 42V the alarm will sound, this is the point where the operator should stop and immedi-
ately move to an outlet and recharge the batteries. Further lowering of voltage will cause
the alarm to speed up, decreasing the load or stopping will cause voltage to recover and
slow the alarm.
At 38.4V the machine will auto-disconnect and turn off, let machine sit until batteries
recover enough to drive to nearest outlet.
Warning:
When alarm sounds immediately move machine to outlet for charging.
