LUBRICATION
Regular lubrication of your machine is essential to proper operation and long service. Use
the lubricant that is supplied with the machine. Lubricate ONLY the components specified
below. All other bearings are Oilite and should not be lubricated.
Shuttle Area
1. Remove bobbin case, race cover and hook.
2. Inspect and, if necessary, clean each time you change bobbins or after a maximum of
one hour of continuous running.
3. Thoroughly clean the race cover, hook and inner race. (An old needle works well to
remove grime from inner race corners.)
4.
Apply a light film of lubricant on the hook, inside of race cover and inside the shuttle
body.
Needle Bar
Perform after approximately 8 hours of running time. Open end door and lubricate the
entire needle bar (Figure 34). This is also a good time to check and retighten all screws.
Needle Bar Linkage
Perform after approximately 8 hours of running time. Open end door and lubricate the
needle bar linkage as shown in Figures 35 and 36.
