While you can physically install a board that is between 8.2 in. and 13.4 in. long into the
VXIpc-486, the back end will not be supported inside the VXIpc-486 (see Figure F-7). This
may not be an issue in some applications, but if the application requires rugged handling, it may
be inadvisable to install the board without a support.

After installing the first board, you can install the second board above it. If the second board is
less than or equal to 8.2 in. long, you can use the second moveable bracket to support it. Figures
F-8 and F-9 show configurations that require the use of both brackets.
