14. Install the instruments with a terminal block.
Note
To prevent damage to equipment when high voltages are present, all terminal blocks are keyed to prevent connection
between incompatible terminal blocks, modules, and/or cables.
a)
Push the terminal block into the instrument. A spring mechanism locks into the bottom of the terminal block.
b)
Tighten the mounting screw at the top of the terminal block to attach it to the instrument using the #2 Phillips screwdriver.
15. Connect all the cables to the replacement PXI instrument.
16. Replace the brush panel in U28 and screw it in with four screws.
17. Replace the filler panel in U29-U31 and screw it in with four screws.
18. Replace the monitor in the monitor mount.
19. Position the monitor and tighten the screw and bushing to secure it in place.
20. Connect the power cable and DisplayPort cable to the monitor.

Configuring the PXI Controller

Sign in to the ECUTS.
2.
Configure ethernet port 1.
a)
Press <Win+R> to launch Microsoft Run.
b)
Type
ncpa.cpl
in the text box and click
OK
.
c)
Right-click the
Ethernet
adapter.
d)
Click
Properties
.
e)
Double-click the
Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)
option in the properties list.
f)
Select
Obtain an IP address automatically
and
Obtain a DNS server address automatically
.
g)
Click
OK
.

Configure ethernet port 2.
a)
Press <Win+R> to launch Microsoft Run.
b)
Type
ncpa.cpl
in the text box and click
OK
.
c)
Right-click the
Ethernet 2
adapter.
d)
Click
Properties
.
e)
Double-click the
Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)
option in the properties list.

Replacing the SLSC Instrumentation
Equipment

#2 Phillips screwdriver
•
Flathead screwdriver
1.
Power off the ECUTS.
2.
Open the rear cabinet door.
3.
Loosen the cable screws on the front of the SLSC instrument using the flathead screwdriver.
4.
Disconnect all the cables from the SLSC instrument.
5.
Remove the two front panel mounting screws from the SLSC instrument using the #2 Phillips screwdriver.
6.
Eject the SLSC instrument from the chassis using the ejector handle at the bottom of the instrument.
7.
With the ejector handle engaged, slide the replacement SLSC instrument into the appropriate chassis slot.
8.
Lock the SLSC instrument in the chassis slot by pulling up on the ejector handle.
9.
Screw in the two front panel mounting screws on SLSC instrument using the #2 Phillips screwdriver.
10. Connect all the cables to the front of the SLSC instrument.
11. Screw in the cable screws on the front of the SLSC instrument using the flathead screwdriver.
12. Close the rear cabinet door.
