Mounting and Connection to Data Acquisition Boards
The SC-2061 has metal standoffs so the board can sit on a workbench near the host computer. You
can use an optional rack-mount chassis, which can be fitted with a flat acrylic plastic cover. The
SC-2061 grounds to its metal standoffs, and thus to the rack, when it is mounted in the chassis.
Warning:
The SC-2061 must be completely enclosed if any onboard voltages or voltage
differences across the optoisolators can exceed 30 V.
The SC-2061 connects to the data acquisition boards listed in Table 3-1 via the appropriate
SC-205X Series cable adapter board.

A 26-pin ribbon cable connector connects the SC-2061 board to a digital I/O connector on an
SC-205X Series cable adapter board. The SC-205X Series board connects to the data acquisition
board with a 50-conductor or 100- conductor ribbon cable. You can connect the SC-2061 to any
digital I/O port on any SC-205X Series board. The digital I/O port that is connected to the
SC-2061 must be configured and operated on the data acquisition board as output only. For more
information on mounting and connection, see Chapter 5, Installation and Operation.
