Operator's Safety Summary
The general safety information in this summary is for both operating and servicing personnel.
Specific warnings are found throughout the manual where they apply but may not appear in this
summary.
Terms
In this manual, Warning statements identify conditions or practices that could result in personal
injury, loss of life, or damage to equipment or other property.
1. Heed all warnings and safety instructions.
2. Never make any signal or cable connection or disconnection when devices are powered on.
All connections must be made with devices powered off. Failure to do so can result in a
shock hazard.
3. If any voltage potentials can possibly exceed 30 V–particularly potentials across the
optocouplers or relays–the SC-206X Series board must be completely enclosed in order to
protect the operator from shock when devices are powered on. Do not leave the SC-206X
Series boards uncovered under these circumstances.
