SC-206X Series User Manual
For more detailed information about the SC-206X Series boards, see Chapter 2, SC-2060 Board,
Chapter 3, SC-2061 Board, or Chapter 4, SC-2062 Board.
A 26-pin ribbon cable (type SC1) connects your SC-206X Series board to an SC-205X Series board.
Remember to turn the computer or any other device off before making any connections. One end of
the ribbon cable connects to the SC-206X Series board at connector J1.
Figure 5-7 shows the pinouts for cable connector J1 on your SC-206X Series boards.

Signal Names
Description
9, 11, 13, 15,
DIO<0..7>
Digital data lines–DIO7 is the most significant bit;
17, 19, 21, 23
DIO0 is the least significant bit.
1, 3, 5 ,7, 25
+5 V
Power from host computer–When you set switch S1 to the
position labeled INT, these pins are connected to power
connections on the SC-206X Series. When you set switch
S1 to the position labeled EXT, these pins are
disconnected from parts on the SC-206X Series.
2, 4, 6, 8, 10,
GND
Ground–These pins are connected to the ground
12, 14, 16, 18,
signal of the SC-206X Series board.
20, 22, 24, 26
Connector J1 is for connection only to an SC-205X Series board at a 26-pin connector labeled Digital
I/O (see Table 5-2). Incorrect connection can result in damage to the SC-206X Series board and all
components connected to the SC-206X Series board, including the host computer. Remember to turn
the host computer off before making any connections. For further information concerning the signal
connections on the SC-205X Series cable adapter boards, consult your SC-205X Series User Manual.
