Electronics Pod
Configuration
Configuration of the electronics pod should not be
undertaken until the battery pod and tripod configuration
has been completed.
1.
Alignment of the Electronics Pod
ZephIR battery pod includes a location ‘dimple’ for the
electronics pod at the central point. In addition to this
central location point. Finally, there is a location arrow on
the side of the electronics pod which aligns with a similar
reference on the battery pod.
Once the electronics pod is placed in the correct orientation,
the unit is secured using six ‘PinHead’ allen screws located
around the circumference of the unit.
Note : The louvre on the rear of the pod is not fitted at this
point.
2.
System connections
The Electronics Pod is the central hub for all system
interconnections; power supplies are fed from the battery
pod to the electronics pod and re-distributed from this
point. All other system and data interconnections are also
managed through this hub.
System interconnection is not required at this stage of the
system configuration and is dealt with under the ‘System
Interconnections’ section of this manual.
3.
Customer Interface panel
In addition to the system interconnections, the customer
interface panel provides additional connection points for
the system ethernet, auxiliary data input and system test
points for service and maintenance use.
4.
Electronics Pod Configuration complete
On completion of the electronics Pod Configuration, the
system build should be complete as shown in the figure
on the right;
