LANYARD LOCK OPERATION
The house lowering and raising device
provides a positive means of locking
your house anywhere on the pole.
Pulling on the rope releases this lock
and allows the house to be raised or
lowered. Releasing the rope immedi-
ately locks the house on the pole. To
lower the house - stand a few feet
away from the base of the pole and
pull. The lock lever must be pulled
toward the edge of the house in order
to release the lock. With the lever in
this position, allow gravity to pull the
house down by slowly allowing the
rope to feed through the lever.
To stop the house at any point simply
loosed pull on the rope and allow it to
drop into position.
When raising the house, stand close
to the base of the pole - pull rope
straight down until the house is at the
top of the pole. Once there it is auto-
matically locked into place.
CHECK YOUR ROPE EACH SEASON
The rope should be checked yearly and replaced if worn.
To replace rope (Part# 33000), lower the house and attach
a new rope to the end of the old rope with tape or wire.
Pull the new rope through with the old rope. Replacement
ropes are available at www.erva.com
