Electronic pellet burner controller – NPBC-V3C-1/ NPBC-V4C-1/ NPBC-V4E-1

Manual Feeding –

Manual control of the fuel auger motor and the circulation pumps. This function is

useful   to   fill   up   the   auger   motor   when   it's   empty,   to   measure   its   capacity  of   pellet   feeding   for
calibration purposes, to test the pumps or to fill up the installations with fluid. The up and down
navigation   buttons   (

)   check/uncheck   the   box   to   turn   on/off   the   output   and   left   and   right

navigation buttons (

) switch between the parameters.

The maximum time for manual control is 370 seconds (6 minutes and 10 seconds). After that the
controller turns off the outputs and switches to the previous screen.

Follow these steps to calibrate the fuel auger motor:
1. Detach the auger from the burner, but not from the fuel bunker.
2. Turn on the manual feeding to fill up the whole auger with pellets. If 370 seconds are not enough,
repeat this step several times. When the auger is full stop the manual feeding.
3. Place a bucket or another tank at the end of the auger motor to collect the pellets.
4. Start the manual feeding again and leave the auger working for any exact period (see a list with the
recommended periods for this setting in table 3)
5. Remove the bucket and measure the weight of the collected pellets in kilograms.
6. Calculate the auger motor's capacity with the following formula:

Ac = F*C

,

where

Ac

 is the auger motor's capacity

F

is the weight of the collected fuel in kilograms

C

is the constant from table 3 corresponding to the active time of the auger motor during the manual

feeding, measured by the timer in the menu Manual Feeding
